Zhou made a surprise appearance that day, leading the Universal on Parade event from a vehicle specially decorated for the anniversary. He danced joyfully with the performers, bringing the celebration to a crescendo. During the parade, he waved excitedly and bowed repeatedly to the audience to show his gratitude.
"I was so happy, but I didn't know the parade journey was so long — I was exhausted from waving my hands," the singer told China.org.cn. "But at first, I was nervous — what if nobody welcomed me? But the support I and the dancers received gave me a lot of energy and strength once we were out there."
Universal Beijing Resort has been celebrating its five-year milestone this year, bringing the spirit of "Universal Beijing Resort's 5th Anniversary, Infinitely Your Way" to life through a series of events. The new theme song and Zhou were the latest surprises for visitors and music fans, reflecting the resort's expanding cultural tourism ambitions.
"I think the vision that Universal Resort conveys to us — 'Infinitely Your Way' — and the song's lyrics about no boundaries are what matter. I hope that no matter your age, you can find infinite possibilities and become your limitless self. So never underestimate yourself or your potential," he said.
Zhou, 31, said he has always felt he is a very lucky man to be heard and seen by people, and was privileged to sing the theme song for a major theme park for the first time. When he spoke to China.org.cn on a balcony in the park, crowds gathered below and cheered for him, and he had to stop the interview multiple times to wave to fans.
"I feel fortunate, and I hope I can sing more and more songs for everyone, to be with them. I think the background cheering we're hearing right now is already my greatest happiness," he said.
The singer reflected, "What I've done right now is already better than what I had imagined and planned for my life," citing his three upcoming concerts in September at the Beijing National Stadium as well as this event at Universal Beijing Resort. "So this is my belief: first, you should take care of yourself, and try everything and challenge yourself. There really are no boundaries."
Zhou also served as the leader of the journey to the infinite universe for Universal Beijing Resort's fifth anniversary. His new song, an upbeat and dynamic track written and produced by Costa Rican composer Daniel Rojas, is available in English and Chinese versions on various digital platforms worldwide.
Zhou also said he has future collaborative projects but is unable to reveal any details at the moment. He noted that the theme park is a place of fun and happiness, and somewhere he definitely hopes to return. He again said he resonates with the slogan of "no boundaries," but credited his supporters for helping him find that resonance.
"They made me believe in infinite possibilities. So whenever I stand on any stage — even if I'm singing at United Nations events — I feel that is my own 'no boundaries' moment. But remember, it's you who gave me 'no boundaries.' So don't underestimate yourselves. You can also become your own limitless self," he reiterated.
Starting Aug. 3, "No Boundaries" will be played throughout Universal Studios Beijing. With the release of the song, the celebratory atmosphere for the resort's fifth anniversary continues to build, alongside a series of online and in-park experiences. Visitors and fans can immerse themselves in the park experience while discovering a range of special surprises, including customized opening and closing announcements voiced by Zhou.
